Since video is probably one of the most popular things to do while on the web, Google has found a way to monetize it. Actually Google has had this program in pilot since last may but after lots of testing, Google’s Adense for video is now in the beta testing phases.

The Associated Press has reported that Google Health will begin the testing phases of the service as of today. It seems that the pilot project will involve 1,500 to 10,000 patients at the Cleveland Clinic who all agreed to transfer their personal health records to Google’s service for easy retrieval. Each of these profiles will contain information about prescriptions, allergies, and medical history and will be protected by a password.
So do you trust Google to hold your medical records? If it was me, I wouldn’t even care actually. I’m not sure what someone could do with my medical records though. I don’t really have any medical problems, I don’t take any prescriptions, and have no allergies. It would be kind of nice to be able to have access to my records whenever I needed them though, say for example if I wanted to change doctors and not have to worry about any kinds of hassles.

If for some odd reason you are still looking at Toolbar Page Rank, people are reporting that Google has updated it. So check your sites to see. Not that it matters, and I definitely recommend against using it as a quality indicator of site value…but there are still people out there who seem to think it’s important.

It looks like Squidoo has taken the steps necessary to get rid of most of the people spamming their system and have made their content much more relevant. This, it seems has gotten rid of the penalties that they have incurred before. An example would be a search for “Michelangelo’s David.” A Squidoo page, or “Lens” as they call it, about the famous statue ranks on the first page of MSN, Yahoo, and Google. There’s a reason for this though. That page actually contains a lot of good information that can be very helpful to anybody interested in that particular topic.

If you own your own site, you’ve likely had the great fortune of keeping a sitemap.xml up to date. Well, now you have the great fortune of keeping a video sitemap up-to-date. Sorry for the sarcasm, it’s just been a tedious process for me in the past, especially when I come from an SEO agency in which I had to manage more than 70 clients at a time.
A video sitemap is actually a great idea.
